To bust him you first had to saddle him Images of The Old West taken 1906 or 1907

Posted by Garth Jepperson on

In our images of the old west we see two cowboys from the Bar Diamond Ranch in Bonham Texas, trying to saddle a bronc in the open country. This shot was taken in 1906-1907. This must of been a common thing in those days...to grab the ear of the horse to keep him under control while the cowboys tried to work the horse. Must of worked...or....must of made that horse pretty angry, one of the two....now...that would piss me off is someone grabbed MY ear...huh?
